I was born on 10th June 1975 in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Due to the transferable nature of my father's job, I completed my 10th and 12th grades in Dimapur, Nagaland. After that, I pursued Electrical Engineering at REC (now NIT) Rourkela, Orissa. In 1996, I joined the Indian Air Force in their prestigious Technical branch.

During my service, I actively participated in the Kargil War and was honored with the Operation Vijay ‘Star’ and Operation Vijay medal. In recognition of my services during OP Parakaram, I was also awarded the Operation Parakaram Medal. My exceptional service record earned me a commendation from the Chief of Air Staff in 2014.

In 2017, I underwent a Business Management Course at IIM Ahmedabad. After serving for 22 years in the IAF, I took premature retirement in 2018. Currently, I am working with Alpha Design Technologies Pvt Ltd as General Manager, overseeing several military projects of national importance.

On 26th January 2023, I was selected to represent Armed Forces Veterans at the 74th Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path. Standing tall on the first tableau of the parade, I proudly saluted the President of India, fulfilling a dream aspired by every soldier of this country.

 

I am married to Surya, an educator who has taught at many schools around the country. We have a son, Ishaan, who is currently studying in class XII.
